Series Description

Most Balloon Fight games are platformers which are based around the main mechanic of flying using Balloons. Typically, the game's goal involves either popping Balloons for points, defeating enemies, or avoiding obstacles in a leftward-scrolling stage. The first game ever released was Vs. Balloon Fight, an arcade game as part of the Vs. System line.

Although there haven't been many new Balloon Fight games lately, the series lives on mostly through ports to newer systems and cameos within other games. The most frequently referenced and ported game in the series is Balloon Fight on the NES.
